Wanganui gymnasts were on a roll at the weekend winning every category they entered at the Waikanae Team Gym competition.

The Wanganui Boys' and Girls' Gym Club sent five teams to do battle with three Wellington-based gymnasiums, winning the junior, intermediate and open grade competitions.

The Lil Miss Presleys team were judged the junior winners, XTND-ers the intermediate and 12 Speed the open victors.

Coach, Kelly Taylor-Ward, had a hand in preparing all three teams, with Caitlin Chamberlain creating 12 Speed's winning performance.

Last month, on home turf, the Wanganui club fielded five teams in their annual Team Gym Display with the Soldier Gurlz and XTNDers finishing second and third in the intermediate division. The Little Miss Presleys finished third in the junior grade.

The 12 Speed team won their open grade by default at the same event as they were the only entry in the category.

The next time they will perform is at the club's Break Up performance on December 9 at the club at Springvale Park.
