Power cuts disrupt Christmas preparations
Several power cuts have affected Christmas preparations in Wanganui and the wider region.
It is not known how many homes are affected but there are reports of outages in Brunswick, Aramoho, up the River Road, Horopito, Jerusalem, Raetihi and Ohakune.
Some of the faults are reportedly due to faults with overhead lines while others are stil being investigated.
It is hoped power will be restored by 6pm.
