His co-accused, Daniel Shane Whareaorere, 31, has also been remanded in custody to reappear on December 11.

Whareaorere was arrested and charged with the November 17 robbery last week.

The two men are jointly charged that, while armed with an offensive weapon - a pump-action shotgun - they robbed storekeeper Vinod Meghwal of a sum of cash.
