Positive and enlightening was how many punters described the 2012 Home and Lifestyle Show at The Jubilee Stadium over the weekend.

Wanganui people came in their thousands ... about 10,000 according to show event manager Wanganui Chronicle advertising manager Alison Hollard. "It was just amazing because so many stall holders sold out of their products.

"I think for a lot of people it was a great time to pick up some Christmas gifts."

The 110 stall holders - over half were from out of town - were thrilled with the response to the show, she said. "There was such an uplifting atmosphere and people just kept coming through."

Everyone from families, to elderly couples and teenagers wandered through and loved the samples being offered by most of the stalls.

"It was such a huge success we're already planning 2013 ... it will be bigger and better. The success of the show has been so exciting for us all."
