Andy has 'ink in his veins' working for the company in various roles since he joined the Napier Daily Telegraph in 1976 as an accountant before moving on to sales, print, and management roles, currently Regional Manager, based in Wanganui. Outside of work, Andy runs a 100 acre deer farm, and enjoys the outdoors in his leisure time, including hunting, fishing, and horse trekking
Alison (Ali) started with the Wanganui Chronicle in 2003. She progressed through various positions such as retail consultant, and Business Development and Promotions manager. Ali left in Nov 2006 and had two little girls. Isabella and Zoe. She then returned as Advertising manager in April 2010. She loves her role here is her home town of Wanganui, and loves the fantastic team of people she works with. Ali is known for her love of animals, “Wanganui is a fantastic place to live and work. We have a lifestyle block with kune kune piglets, lambs, baby fallow deer, and even wild goats”
Julie is the Real Estate Consultant and Retail Promotions Manager for the Wanganui Chronicle. She enjoys the challenge of such a fast paced industry and with over 7 years experience she looks forward to helping to promote her clients products and services.
Gené has been part of the Wanganui Chronicle Advertising Department for 14 years, eight of these in her current role. Working in the Features Team she finds is always very exhilarating and challenging, but worth all the hard yards to see the finished product. Over the years they have produced some fantastic features and publications.
Amanda has been working at the Wanganui Chronicle as a Sales Consultant for 3 ½ years and loves being part of a great Sales team servicing Wanganui clients
David has recently moved home from 15 years overseas. He has worked for the Chronicle for the last 6 months as the Retail and Rural Sales Consultant.
Glenda has returned to the Wanganui Chronicle after a 6 month stint away. Her clients are mostly car dealers as she takes care of our Driven motoring publication.
Parita has worked for the Wanganui Chronicle for over a year, as a Features Sales Consultant. She loves the challenges in her role and her daily contact with clients
Jo has been involved with community newspapers for a number of years and has enjoyed every moment of it. She has recently moved position from a Retail Sales Rep, to the exciting position of a Features Sales Consultant. She enjoys working with businesses to promote their products and services to our readers.
Heather AKA "Hev" with the big hair has been with Midweek features for just over ten and a half years and loves the challenge of the job and her clients, who are like friends.
Pam has been with the Wanganui Chronicle for more years than she would care to remember and just loves the industry, especially the challenge of daily deadlines. Her interests include tennis and horse racing
Gaye has been a Graphic Designer with the Wanganui Chronicle twice! First for 16 years and currently 6 years and counting! "I love that each day is different and the pressure is always on to come up with exciting ads." Gaye also enjoys oil painting in her spare time
Kylie has worked for the Wanganui Chronicle for many years as a Graphic Designer. She is Wanganui born and raised and still loves living here after all these years with her husband and their 4 year old son
Kevin has been employed at the Wanganui Chronicle, initially in administration, for about 18 years, currently Classified Supervisor. The photo was taken when he started! In his spare time he is a very successful tip star in Friday’s racing lift out!
Judy works on the front line as a Classified Consultant at the Wanganui Chronicle. She enjoys interacting with a cross section of people to create their notices, from family to Trades and Services and everything in between. On the weekends Judy enjoys discovering new roads on her motorbike.
Sue has worked at the Chronicle for 4 ½ years, starting in circulation as merchandiser, then moving on to the features department. Currently she can be found at the front counter doing what she loves, classified advertising and offering awesome customer service to our customers. In her spare time she runs a 'Saucy' business with her daughter, loves going out and also spending time with her family.
Louisa manages the distribution of the Wanganui Chronicle and Wanganui Midweek papers. She also organises and manages events such as community events Round the Bridges Fun Run and Walk and the annual Light Up Your Home Christmas light trail.
Paul Brooks has been sole Midweek reporter for three years, graduating from a role on the Chronicle sub editors' bench. Now, armed with camera, notebook and recorder, he roams the city and beyond, finding and sharing stories about the Wanganui community and the people who make it special
Sandra has worked for the Wanganui Chronicle for over 2 years. Her main role is looking after all Retailers as well as raising funds through events for our NiE (Newspapers in Education) Literacy in the Home programme
